I am at a loss for words. I was south bound on the 57 freeway stopped behind of a Toyota Tacoma and a young male read-ended my ES 300 and I hit the Tacoma in front of me. I was in a state of shock and still recovering. I called his insurance company and will wait for the call tomorrow. Hopefully my ES makes a comeback...here are the pictures...

Sorry man, sucks to have anything happen to such a clean car. From the looks of it, there doesn't appear to be any frame damage. Was everyone involved okay?
Good luck with working everything out, I hope your ES makes a comeback.

Sorry to see that and glad you are relatively ok. Looks to me like the car will be a total loss without a doubt. A car of that age just doesnt make sense to repair especially with all the work that one will need to fix. Even if the frame is still straight its still going to be a total. Good thing about that is now you get to start your search for another ES if you so choose.
Goodluck with everything and once again glad you made it ok.

Yeah, everyone is okay. I'm just a little sore in the neck area but I'll be fine. I'll just wait for the call from the insurance companies and go from there. At first I thought it was really bad then after looking at the pictures it doesn't look too bad hopefully the insurance company will fix it. The engine is still solid and doesn't leak any oil or transmission fluid. I'm just bummed because she's never been in an accident before. I do have high mileage but it still feels like I'm just breaking her in...she's still has a lot of life in her...

^ If you owned a car since new for 400k miles, you wouldnt want it to be totaled either, especially if it has been essentially trouble free. Older mercedes guys are the same way, especially diesel guys. I talked to someone with a 240d with 560k miles, miles he had all driven and when it got totaled by a branch falling on it, he said it was like a little bit of him died. Its not the car, its just the memories that go with the car

My car has never been in an accident with the exception of yesterday and lots of thoughts are going through my mind. Yes, I'd like my car to be fixed but as JTS points out I can get something newer and better. I will wait to see what the insurance company has to say. I will be getting a call frome them tomorrow...

Glad your OK, and yeah unfortunately looks totaled, I mean by insurance company standards.. And I did see your other post other day about just hitting 400k
Time for newer and better though.
