Car is a Lexus 2001 es300. As far as I know the centre two vents are both served by a single air duct, so one would expect the air coming out of those two vents to be at the same temperature, yet the air coming out of the left center vent is substinally warmer than the right center vent. How can that be? And no, this is not a dual climate control system.

normal, the right middle is more direct to the cooling system, where the left is routed in a longer duct, like the side fronts, they are cooler than the middle, right vent. Same thing in any Lexus i've been in.

I think its route more 'weird' since the wiring harnesses take up much room under any Lexus dash.

That would have made sense if both center outlets were served by different ducts. However they are both served by the same single duct, that's why I don't understand the temperature difference between the two center outlets.

Anyways, it's no big deal. I'm just curious by nature.

I don't recall, but there was something about the design when i removed the clock cluster above the radio last year, weird angles and such.
