Thumbs up My progression

New to the family, still really didn't drive it much at this point;

18s were too harsh, got a deal on these Enkei's, super stock, nothing done other than wheels & full LED conversion... I was the first to document that on CL;

Had enough of plain jane Lexus, went through an amber phase where I vinyled the corners front & back with amber vinyl, had 4300k hid's & yellow fogs bulbs;

Got the 6k hid's for fogs, which ended up bubbling all the chrome within 3mos. got rid of them;

Next day, told myself 'do work; so after a nice wash installed my a-la-GS-style chrome bumper strips & my OEM black pearl badge kit;

Along the line, i changed my retarded yellowed passenger side headlamp with a replacement unit [used] off ebay];

Some dingus smoked me in a parking lot;

Stuff & things happened involving a rear-end, so do work;

Might as well get some rust work done;

Back in action two weeks later;

Got some cree led reverse lights;

custom fitted an LED 3rd brake light, the way it should have been out of the box;

What it looked like pretty much all of 2012, clear corners were on since early spring of that year;

Got these out of Asia somewheres, complete with bulbs/ballasts/pigtails;

Wiring as best as I could in -30'c that day;

Done-did them;

What it looked like from late 2012, until spring of 2013;

Tires were toast on my Enkei's, it was either 650$ for new rubbers on those, or 700$ for new rollers & tires. This car isn't a boy-toy-racer, so I sold them in favor of factory chrome 16";

Did an LS400-style-taillight setup; [top & bottom rows have bulbs & light up as running lights]

Mid-late summer 2013; Did my climate control bulbs in white LED's [only for them to fail four months later], and got a nice Kenwood deck - because **** tape adapters!

Late summer 2013; Sick & tired of stupid H3 bulbs, and trying to get ones with good output or yellow bulbs so I decided to keep the OE Koito bulbs in there since nothing seems to come close in terms of output, and vinyled the fog lamps;

Beginning 2014 wanted more bass, waited around looking for a 'small' enclosure, but the price I got this one for, i made the exception;

February 2014, you can see my grill block, changed the battery the other day as it died on the weekend;

^it was out of a GM of some sort. I think monte Carlo, and retrofitted it into the housing with minor cutting and adding pigtails to it. It keep the brake light out warning on the whole time, but at least I won't need to replace bulbs or endure the dimness from the halogen equivalent!

Looking good, jsut a quick question, have the two passenger doors been repainted? They look like a different shade of silver form the rear quarter panel and the right front fender

Oh my goodness. Those 18" HP Racing Evo's in the first picture are soooo sick.
How much did you lower it?

Yeah, got keyed way back. Not sure how you're seeing a difference, but the color match is on point. Everyone asks me if its original paint.
The other thing, is i smashed the mirror so i repainted it myself - might be throwing it off. On top of picture angles/lighting/door & panel gaps which i intend to mess with this year.

Stock height duder - found lowering spring/strut combo's on ebay AFTER 6mos with the new struts on the car... for the same money.

Insurance work in my case... I'd like to, and will eventually. At this point she's going to be driven into the ground or written off... I prefer the former.

Brakes to me are whatever. Stock works fine, maybe i'll source a set of drilled rotors for the front with more aggressive pads next time. [current; white box & Wagner thermoquiets ceramic]

The pictures look great, but what are your thoughts on the paint finish.. Is it factory smooth or can you tell where the new paint stops and the original starts? Aside from the obvious of course...
