Drunk driver hit my Mother's ES300
September 29, 2012 @ 2:00 AM my mom was driving home from work, she had to pass a big intersection and the teenager was too drunk to notice the blinking red lights and hit my mom's ES300 making it spun into the curve. Another car also was hit making it a total of 3 care towed. The drunk teenager tried to start her car and run away from the accident. When everyone arrived the the aunt of the teenager told the officers that my sister (who was sleeping at home, she came to the accident with my dad and I) was in the car with my mom and hit the teenager. Luckily all Airbags in the Lexus deployed and my mom is injured free so I'm thankful for that.
2 Weeks before that My sister also got into a accident
My mom does not like sedan anymore since she is very weary so we decided to get her a 2008 Honda Odyssey and my Sister a 2011 Honda Accord.
I still have my Lexus O'course and looking forward for another 10 years!

Wow man! first off, I am super happy to hear that your Mom was okay. And I'm also happy to hear she has the Odyssy now.
I don't understand kids who think they can still drive when they've been drinking. Almost every weekend I go out with friends to party but I offer to be their dedicated driver, partly because I don't drink but mostly because I don't want my friends to do something stupid...
As for the totaled car, if you still have access to the car, will you be parting out anything?

damn what a nice color the lexus was!
how come you guys went with a 2011 accord? the 2011 camrys are so much better!
my mom had a 2011 accord, which got totaled, then we rented a 2011 camry for a while, now i got her an es haha
least your mom was okay, and it was good you called the cops.. did they test the teen? if drunk than automatic loss for the teen not to mention potential jailtime no?

Yeah the teen got tested and handcuffed and sent to downtown jail. What pissed me off the most is her aunt not even apologizing or ask if my mom was okay instead she start to complain and blame everything on my mom. I already tried to convince my sister into getting a is250 or a Camry but no matter what she wanted a Honda. She hates Lexus because I'm a huge fan of it and wants to go opposite with a Honda or an Acura. When she thinks of Camry she thinks of slow, gas saving car haha.

Glad your mother is okay. While I love my ES, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a Honda or an Acura. I had a 1st gen legend coupe that I would buy again if I found one. They are excellent vehicles and every bit as good as Toyota/Honda... both sit pretty much at the top.
