Default Oil Life Monitor

Does anyone know if the 2013 ES will have an oil life monitor. Most Chevy cars now have them, even in inexpesive models. They really are useful and tell one based on their driving habits when it is time to change the oil.

I doubt it. Toyota has never embraced such things, and the 2013 GS doesn't have one.

Nope, it doesn't.

That's one of the few things Chevy get's right and very well I might add.

I, also feel that in this class vehicle, paticularly in the ESh, with its fuel economy bent, should have Mobil 1, or equivalent, with 10,000 mile change. Preferrably with a computer monitored change interval.

It does have synthetic oil and a 10k change interval I believe...

I think Lexus thinks their average customer will not need to deal with self maintenance. Most people just see the sticker on their top corner if their windshield and know when it is time to go to the dealer, or they get the maintenance reminder message on the dash.

Also all Lexus vehicles now use synthetic so the 10,000 interval is pretty much set
