Hi all,

I thought I would share a photo of my the two 10" subs I added to my ES 350. Love the car but it is lacking in bass. I am by no means a bass head. My tastes are: talk radio; current hits; 80's and 90's music. I could have gotten by with just one sub for this build.



I ran 4ga from the battery to the trunk using the existing wire routing in to the cabin on the passengers side. There is lots of room and you could actually run 0ga without any issues.

That's a great job you did! I would love to be able to add a subwoofer to my ES like that, but I'm not mechanically inclined like you. I don't know if any of the local audio shops around here would do as professional installation as you did.

BTW, I checked out our other post. How's your hand doing (ouch)?

Thank you jetman. It really isn't difficult and I bet you could do it with the help of the forums. I have seen many first timers accomplish great builds. Really, the car only needs one sub unless you're a bass head that likes it. I used two because I had them. If you went with one, I would use the left side as it is much easier to find nice lines to make the cuts and you have a little more airspace to play with. You could even fit in a 12" sub so long as depth is considered. With the lines I used, you have about 9" of depth.

I am sure that many audio shops could accomplish this. I would expect they would charge $500 for each, mainly just because of time required, 1 gallon of resin and the cloth. Heck, if you are close to the Dallas area, maybe we could make a weekend out of it. EDIT: Never mind on close, I see that you are in NY!!!
