That’s one of the great things about Tesla - they allow you to take a long test drive without any expectations unlike typical dealers. Most dealers its 5-10min drive.

I did a writeup on the Model Y performance i test drove.
Is there a reason you didn’t test one?

Lazy . Just kidding. Just way to busy at work, sick father in SoCal. No time on the weekends. But I've driven in enough of them as a passenger, kicked the tires etc. Lots of friends, family and coworkers that own them, so I have full access to Model 3, Y, S and X

Best experience I had was at a Porsche dealer and I was just looking around at Cayennes and they had a nice turbo model there. The owner happened to be there walking around (he lived in a different state than the dealership) and we talked for a little bit. He offered to drop the Cayenne off at my house for the weekend but I wasn’t about to spend that much, not even half of that so I didn’t accept since I wasn’t really serious about it.

I'm not sure if Tesla would drop the car off for a test drive, but Polestar does, at least in my area. I had never driven or seen a Polestar up close, so in that case a test drive was mandatory

My local Lexus, MB and BMW let me keep over the weekends. The BMW actually let me do it twice. I agree with you. I will not buy a car that I have not driven. For a new type, I definitely push for a weekend or at least a day.

Everyone, my father passed away this morning in SoCal, so I will not be updating this thread for at least a week or so. I'll get back to it sometime next week with any updates. For now, if the Y becomes available sooner, it's on hold.

He was 86 years old, lived a fruitful fulfilling life and will be remembered by his 5 kids and I can't even count the number of grandkids right now
