I again want to thank all of you for your condolences. It's been a hard couple of weeks for the family (he's not been well for the last two months). He was buried yesterday and is now at peace. Once we conclude all his personal business, we will be heading back home Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

In other news, the Model Y is almost ready. It was assigned a VIN, the loan has been finalized and sent to Tesla. It will be ready for delivery next Thursday or Friday

I'll update this thread next week when I get delivery

Thank you very much . I'm thinking of getting a ceramic coating, but not sure if it's really worth it. A friend of the family who also lives in NorCal drove down for the funeral with their new Model Y LR, Red. They had 5 people total and a bunch of luggage, there was plenty of room.

We took the Sienna this trip because we had a lot luggage, which wouldn't have fit in the Polestar. It's really starting to show it's age now, some rattles and the engine seems to strain a bit on hard throttle, but it's still relatively smooth cruising for just having under 200k miles on it

You should, but don't do it on the fresh paint yet, you should do some research about your car before seal it.

Thanks for the advice. Final payment made, no backing out now! Just waiting for the delivery date to be confirmed, some final paperwork to sign (will be signed in the app), and actual delivery. Besides my Polestar, this was the easiest car purchase I've ever made in lifetime. Most of it was done from my phone in the app. Customer service is just a text away...I'll never buy another car any other way again

Tesla told me that don't need anyone to be there when they deliver the Y, so delivery is scheduled for this coming Tuesday

The next delivery date is a few weeks away, and since the car is already financed and paid for, I might as well get it now. Any remaining agreements will be electronically signed through the app before official acceptance of the car and it is unlocked
