Sat in the backseat of the Y today as my daughter wanted to drive, and it's very comfortable back there! Plenty of legroom with flat floor and raised front seats, and very comfy rear seats. I definitely made the right decision buying this car. I was very comfortable as I argued with my daughter over the lack of grab handles was no big deal

Trunk space: We were able to fit three large suitcases, three backpacks, and other knick knacks with no issues. Not as much room as the Sienna, but it's not a Minivan
Overall comfort: Seats were really nice and comfortable. HVAC kept the cabin and back area nice and cool
Road feel and noise: The Model Y does a very good job of isolating road noise and handling bad pavement. There is some wind noise, but it's not bad
Power delivery: Very smooth, and power when you need it
Autopilot: Worked pretty flawless, detected when cars were in front or changing lanes in front of me
Awesome! I have the same feedback as yours from our 5 hours DC trip. As for the wind noise, it was better than what I expected and better than the Toyota Sienna. I don't need to raise my voice to the kids in the back seat.

Btw, what is the cost per KWH at your home and the Supercharging station in CA? The price for me in Long Island, NY, is $0.24 KWH at home and $0.35~$0.42 at the Supercharging station.

Glad to hear you also had a great trip. At home it's free, but when pulling power from the grid, it's about 0.22 cents per kWh after 9PM, and Superchargers are 0.41 cents per kWh.

BTW I used the 250 kW charger last night. 30 to 80 percent SoC was 15 minutes. Also, tons of Black Model Y's in SoCal. People love Model S and X out here!

I got back this evening from my first long trip in the Y, 1,049 miles. I am now so sold on Tesla, I don't think I'll be buying anything else for the foreseeable future. Yes, it's very roomy and comfortable. Yes, it has a smooth as glass drivetrain. Yes it's highly efficient and can compete with the best of them. Yes it has some of the most advanced software running it. Yes it has really good range. And yes, it's fun to drive, so much so that my daughter who doesn't care about cars kept telling me how tired I was so she could drive . But with all those positives, there's really only one reason, that being charging infrastructure that's second to none!

There are so many fast charging locations all up and down California that if you run out of charge, you're an idiot. And the charging times are so fast, you go to use the restroom, when you come back charging is almost done. Coming home I made two stops. The first one was 12 minutes, the second one was 8 minutes on 250 kW chargers. I kept thinking something has to be wrong, because I'm making the same time as my Sienna. But without the $200 gas fill-up's

So @LeX2K it's confirmed that my Y is on hardware version 3. There was a red car in my blindspot camera, and it displayed as orange. My next Tesla in a few years will have it, or better

Not the end of the world. I wonder why the colour space is off on some of the cameras.

Doesn't matter to me, I think HW 4 is more for FDS and enhanced Autopilot. Autopilot works fine, and as blind spot cameras they work pretty well. Although I will say that bug juice on the cameras can throw them off a little. After some bug juice got on one of the cameras, it kept thinking some cars were trucks. The car would revert back and forth as a truck, than a car, than truck LoL! At least it could still see it. Also, when a bug smashed over the windshield camera, it started the windshield wipers. I had to keep spraying windshield fluid until it cleaned the area enough to make the windshield wipers stop

I bought FSD when it was cheap (and enjoyed it) but with todays prices I’d stop at EAP. My wife’s 3 had EAP before I upgraded her pre-hike and it did everything I wanted it to do.

I thought about EAP but for $6k it seems a little steep for what you get. That’s a good bit more than a typical advanced drivers assistance packages with other manufacturers. I think regular Autopilot is good enough and it’s free!

Alright, so the honeymoon is over! I have a slight rattle in the passenger front seat. It seems to come from the upper part of the seat, not sure if it's the seatbelt or the seatbelt tensioner. It's not bad and only happens if I hit bad road or bumps. I have an appointment with Tesla next week to address it. I talked to a former Tesla repair tech, and he told me they will probably just change the front seat.

Hopefully this will be the only issue I experience!

sounds like it should be a relatively simple fix. hopefully pretty drama free to resolve.

I'm pretty sure it's related to the seatbelt. When someone is sitting in the front seat with the seatbelt on, no rattle no matter how bad a road I am on. I had a similar issue with my Polestar last year and they changed the seatbelt and problem has been gone ever since
