Passenger side buckle rattles in my Lexus replacing it (used part) didn't help. Design flaw.

I'm pretty sure in my case it just needs minor adjustments. It's actually not bad at all, I'm just being picky. I'm going to make them fix it and hold them to the same standards as I did my Toyota's and my IS350!

Some rattles are somewhat normal. Mine had a rattle on the rear seat latch that everyone complains about and Tesla just puts some felt tape on the metal latch and it typically makes things better. In my case it’s not totally gone but I can’t hear it with the radio on and only hear it over bumps in the road so no big deal to me.

Also my autopilot fixed itself about a week after the problem started so I didn’t have to take it in.

It's not bad at all, as I mentioned you hear a slight rattle when hitting a rough patch or bump on the road. When someone sits in the front seat with the seatbelt on, zero rattle. I'm sure this will be an easy fix

Not sure how it is on the Y but on the S forum it’s a common saying is that the Service Center fixes one thing but breaks two other things at the same time LOL.

LoL yeah, let's hope that doesn't happen! Appointment is this Friday, so I'll post back here if they fix it...or break something else

It's not bad and only happens if I hit bad road or bumps. I have an appointment with Tesla next week to address it. I talked to a former Tesla repair tech, and he told me they will probably just change the front seat.

Hopefully this will be the only issue I experience!
Time to get rid of the car now. It's failed you to the point of no return.

On another note, I was hoping to get away with not installing the front license plate. Unfortunately my daughter borrowed the Y to go to the beach (Half Moon Bay) and got pulled over for speeding. She didn't realize she was going 85 mph in a 65 mph zone, the car feels like you are going 50. The cop felt bad for her because she told him she was borrowing daddy's car and she wasn't used to it yet, so he cited her for only going 75, but also cited for no front license plate

There are a bunch of no drill front plate kits out there for the Y.

Tesla provides the front plate holder with 3M adhesive. I was hoping I wouldn't have to install it

That's too bad. Cars look a lot worse with the front plate.

The no drill ones I'm thinking of clip on. Like this one, not endorsing it just pointing out they exist. 3M tape is fine except removing it is nearly impossible.

That's why I never installed it. I got away with it with my IS350, but I guess my luck has run out. On a positive note, it's a self adhesive plate holder, so I don't have to drill holes

In California I thought it was the only state that allowed a vinyl front plate. Thoughts of doing that instead of the ugly bulky front plate holder/plate?

Edit: here is a website:

https:/licenseplatewrap.com

It looks like you can even get a black one to match you car.
