Have you received your 30-day FSD trial? I got it over the weekend and have tried it a few times, both on the highway and on the local. It responded and drove smoothly in sports mode but very slowly in chill mode (got horned few times). My only complaints are that it keeps asking to apply feedback/force to the steering wheel, like every 30 seconds. I heard the FSB trail version is the level 2 and not the level 4.

Not yet. I did get an update last week, but no updates yet for FSD. Still on v11x

I just talked to my friend who has a ‘23 MYLR ‘21M3LR and he received his FSD on both and he said he’s blown away. He’s out driving around with nowhere in particular to go. Said it crossed over 6 lanes on the highway. And with less than .2 miles to his exit, it finally go over and took the exit. He said he pulls away from a red light pretty fast.
Sometimes it signaled before changing lanes. Sometimes it didn’t. A car was merging on and it didn’t move over. Overall so far he likes it.
I believe he said it also asked for his feedback and with FSD, you get a more detailed visualization on the screen

That was exactly my feeling. It sometimes doesn't signal before changing lanes and goes five mph above the speed limit.....I'm wondering if it is adopting my regular driving habits (good & bad)
Can't wait! As soon as I get the update, I'm going to do a video (and post it) of my commute to work. The freeway on ramp I take to work is very tricky, it literally merges into the right lane, a lot of drivers don't want you to merge in front of them. I'm curios how FSD will handle it
Still no FSD update. But my co-worker did bring his Porsche Boxster S to work today:
Interesting story on this one. My co-worker is a Porsche enthusiast, and saw this car constantly parked near his home. He could see it was just sitting in the sun, only being moved on street cleaning days. One day he put his business card on it with a note asking if the owner would be interested in selling. He doesn't hear anything, two years later he gets a call from the owner asking if he's still interested in buying it. Turns out the guy is one of those 30 year olds who never amounted to much in life and lived off of mom. Because of a DUI conviction, he lost his license, which is why the car was just sitting. His mom was pushing him to do something with his life, so he was selling it so he could get a vehicle to do Amazon deliveries. My co-worker had no intention of buying it, he just wanted to see it, but that all changed when the seller disclosed how much he was selling it for....$4K!
It has only 58k on it, has a clean title, and is in prime condition. The only work he had to do was change some relays. It has the 3.2L Flat 6 and a 6 speed manual. I mean, how could you go wrong?
Legalizing Marijuana usage actually has its benefits, as my co-worker told me the dude reeked of it as he signed the Pink Slip
Last night we were invited to a dinner party hosted by one of my wife's relatives way out in the boonies, near Sacramento which is in the California Central valley. But, on the way we had to pick up my wife's aunt who lives in Oakland making this a much longer drive than we normally do. So this was a good opportunity to see what the "actual" range of my Model Y is. I charged to 100 percent on my home charger and reset the trip meter.
It was about 99 percent highway, I set the cruise to 75 mph. We had 5 adults, weather was in the low 60's when we left, and it was cold and windy in the evening when we headed home. Total trip was 189 miles, and when we arrived back home, I had 20 percent SoC left, or 63 miles. A quick calculation, and my Model Y had enough battery to do 252 miles without charging. Had I slowed down to 70 mph, it would have extended that to about 260. We got home around 2am, pulled into the backyard, plugged in and now she's fully charged.
Anyway, saw a great opportunity for another pic:
Also my friend who owns the Raptor was also there, so got some pics of it
It still hasn't seen any off road action. We're going to change that, he promised me that we are going to make some plans this summer to hit some dirt roads!
