I'm still on v11, but I haven't paid for FSD so I won't be able to use it. I haven't talked to anyone who has FSD and are on v12, but I've read a lot of positive feedback on it

Yeah I can see it, especially with C++.
For embedded firmware in the chips, probably done with C.

C++ and C are the way to go but I'm biased on that. Lol

At my age I hear it is normal. Haha

I use mostly C for embedded so I never have to malloc memory, actually it would be considered a sin to do so, as ya'll know. Lol

For C++(and C) oh yeah, have to be careful when putting it on the heap and that gets coders in big trouble if they don't clean it up.

Tesla tried to explicitly code FSD in retrospect that was a very bad idea you can't code for every possible driving variable. Now the system learns from video, show it a situation and it knows what to do.

I hope we get it by Sunday. It would be fun to try on our ~300 mile round trip to visit family.

This is brilliant by Tesla for 2 reasons:
1) You'll have a percent of people who try it and love it and will sign up for the subscription. New revenue.
2) Regardless of revenue growth, exponentially more cars using FSD and helping improve the data model.

Tesla reportedly suspends Fisker Ocean trade-ins

It appears that Tesla is no longer accepting Fisker Ocean trade-ins from customers. A screenshot of Tesla’s apparent notice that’s been shared online noted that the trade-in pause is temporary, and it was implemented partly due to uncertainties surrounding the electric vehicle startup.

Followers of Fisker on the Fisker Subreddit have noted that the walls seem to be closing in on the electric vehicle startup. Some have even observed that Fisker CEO Henrik Fisker has seemingly turned off comments on his personal Instagram page. Amidst these observations, r/Fisker member shared a screenshot reportedly from Tesla which stated that no Fisker Ocean trade-ins would be allowed for now.

Following is the apparent notice from Tesla about Fisker Ocean trade-ins.

Immediate Pause on Accepting Fisker Ocean Trade-Ins

Effective immediately, we are temporarily suspending acceptance of Fisker Ocean trade-ins. This is due to significant market uncertainty on Fisker Ocean vehicles that have disrupted the expected values of these vehicles.

We are closely monitoring available market data and will provide an update on next steps as soon as market stability returns and accurate information becomes available.

is currently in rough waters, with recent reports stating that the company had https://www.teslarati.com/fisker-lost-millions-of-customer-payments-report/ as it attempted to ramp vehicle deliveries. The missing payments reportedly included down payments and full payments for the Ocean, the company’s all-electric crossover SUV. Fisker also initiated massive price cuts for the Ocean, and Fisker stock has been delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.

Unfortunately for the electric vehicle maker, recent reports have also suggested that a potential deal with a major automaker — which would have helped Fisker attain more funds to keep its operations going — has fallen through. The news came just a week after the company paused the production of the Ocean, its sole vehicle that’s being delivered to consumers today.

TSLA ends up nearly 30% down in Q1, the worst performer in the S&P 500. The S&P overall was up 10% in Q1.

I knew this was coming back in Jan, but was hesitant to sell. But I still see this as a pickup opportunity, Tesla investor Cathie Wood Just picked up $14M a few days back

well yes, but they're not in the S&P 500 and they aren't where Tesla is in their lifecycle so more volatility in those other EV stocks is to be expected.

To the TSLA price drop in general, I do think that Tesla gets judged/valued unfairly sometimes and that the TSLA price changes are often massively disproportionate to their supposed stimulus, but I think it's also true that some of the volatility (particularly when the stock is heading south) is self inflicted.
