I actually do have ublock origin. I don't use my computer for social media though. I mainly used X to keep up with news in my home country. For YouTube I use the revanced app on my phone....a bit of work to get it set up (not a 1 minute install an app, more like 10 mins) and it breaks every 3-4 months but I will deal with it. For android I use the Brave browser to avoid ads too, if I remember correctly it blocks youtube ads as well.

I wouldn't even consider this forum social media lol but I understand. I am growing to hate social media as well, but tbh its hard to stop. I use Instagram to watch funny videos, reddit to follow my sports teams and global news...I never really post.

I mainly use Youtube for news, but I'm very selective on the media sources. My goto's are Grayzone, Breaking Points, Judge Napolitano and a few others I won't name I want to be balanced, so I use different sources. I stay away from mainstream media, period.

Nope to FB, Instagram, Tiktok and all the others I haven't named. I do use Whatsapp for messaging family or friends, but the number of "Hi, do I know you" or the random Asian women who want to be my friend messages is becoming very annoying, making me want to delete this app

Not deceptive at all, in fact the SEC changed the way companies discuss quarters by providing optionality, either compare this years quarter to last years same quarter or compare this quarter to the last quarter which’shows more sequential growth quarter over quarter.

I’m the same way, I hate most social media except a few forums I frequent based on cars I own or have owned to learn about them or prospective cars I’m considering. Seems most social media is about “look how great I am” or just a bunch of do gooder virtue signaling, no thanks.

You also have to remember there was a couple months where the Model S and Y were not being sold because of the EPA testing. Not sure how much of an impact it had but it had some.

maybe deceptive is the wrong word, but not sure why both companies are being compared on different terms (QoQ vs YoY) by the same media outlets. BYD 2023 Q1 was down 20% compared to 2022 Q4. IMO doesn't make sense comparing QoQ due to various external factors.

With the stock - losses don't count unless you sell

So true. Not the first time TSLA has taken a dump . The last time I bought and sold, it was a block that dropped below $200 (bought), than I sold when it hit $260

It will be interesting to see how Tesla changes their approach moving forward....They already have been spending on marketing. Releasing FSD to all FSD capable cars on a trial basis I think was a good move.

Is the model 3 still excluded from the tax incentive? I see others believe that once highland gets ramped up the sales numbers will improve drastically. However, we know sedans don't do great and with the Model Y so close in price to the Model 3 after the tax incentive, I am not so sure (I know not everyone qualifies).

A Model Y refresh couldn't come sooner.

Wonder if there was any insider trading and short selling.

We will know for sure if they come out with new & better incentives or something that gives the stock a push upwards.

They love to makes stocks go up and down. Lol

The high financing rates are driving buyers to other companies or delaying purchases.

Other manufacturers like BMW are giving away their EVs with huge lease promos.

Another reason is used EV prices have plummeted so much lately. My buddy just took a trade in for a 2023 Y performance 2k miles with FSD for $4,1000. Those not qualify for the $7,500 tax rebate find it a better deal to get used EV. I just check my trade in value, Tesla is offering me $37,xxx for my one Y performance with 11k on the odo.

On this note, a friend of mine also picked up a 2022 Model Y Performance, Black with 20" wheels and low miles for under $40k. It Replaced his M5 that was end of its lease
