0.99% on the MY makes it much more appealing. Instead of paying for it outright, I can invest for 6 years and likely come out ahead. Almost free money in this inflationary environment.
Just irritated that I might have to adjust bump stumps, shove plastic tubing, put blankets in the rear to get rid of the booming sound I heard on two different MY test drives...

Roll the window down and light a cigar or turn some music on, problem solved. Lol. 🤓

So he's taking petty revenge against the company when it was the judge that said no?

Sounds like a good leader. Definitely deserves to be worshipped and never criticized. May he save us all from our sins.

Well guess what? Out of the 5 people who I sent referrals to who backed out of buying a Model Y because of "Elon", four of them just bought a Model Y . I can only guess that when weighing 0.99 percent APR vs hating Elon, low interest rate wins 🤣

I have previously stated some pretty negative feelings about Elon, and I don't see those feelings changing.

That said, if I found the Tesla product compelling, I'd buy it independent of him. I consume products from worse people with no remorse. My disgust for Elon the person is a separate matter.

I drive a Ford, and we know that Henry Ford was uncomfortably close with a certain Austrian painter. And we won't talk about what BMW was doing in the 1930's and 1940's.

I also didn't buy my Tesla based on Elon, in fact if I wasn't an actual investor, I wouldn't really give him a second thought. I like some of the things he's done, and I shake my head at other stuff. TBH, I only talk about him at all on this forum. Where I would probably draw the line is products linked to genocide, for example if Hitler was alive and in power today, I wouldn't buy German products.

Ownership of my model Y has been compelling enough for me to want to buy another Tesla. I promise, no CT in my future

Only thing I know is Elon made Tesla into a global brand.

Astronomically difficult for anyone to do that for the last 50 plus years.

Dammit, I'm a cult member! haha

They're going to sell a lot of Stealth Grey ones, since that's now the only one that qualifies for the $7,500 "rebate". Since the standard M3 doesn't qualify for it, that makes the M3P in that color even more appealing. That may have had something to do with the decision. It would probably make sense to get Stealth Grey and pay for a wrap in whatever color you wanted.

Haven’t checked, but most probably because that color is free, and with the general price increase and the other colors being cost options, the extra color cost pushes the MSRP over $55,000.
