I've heard some express this as a bad thing. Not taking the position that Tesla is an Angel, but this is ultimately a good thing for consumers. More people than ever can afford a Tesla. Of course status as a niche product has been lost.

There's no going back. Raising prices would be detrimental to their products

Elon is beyond convinced the end goal is full autonomy unlocking nearly unlimited revenue. Get as many cars out there as possible profits are not super important. This has to be the biggest risk/reward bet ever for an auto company. Or maybe any company.

So if you bought one @ the tail end of 2022 you just lost 20,000 + the deprecation on a new vehicle. Makes sense.

Can an intelligent car make the driver intelligent? No it can't.

Like Tesla is the only auto maker to give people buyers regret. How do people feel that paid massive "market adjustments" which vanished a month later because the car wasn't so special after all.

Chicken Genius being roasted for this. RIVN took a total beating down 30% in 3 days. Buy TSLA on the dip can't go wrong.

Exactly. Like what about all those people that paid $10k plus ADM on cars like Camry, RAV4 etc? And all those other scam add-ons from the dealership? One of my coworkers bought a C8 last year for over $100k hoping to flip it, now he's stuck with it. Now that's funny 🤣

I don't see how this is the same as what Tesla did. Other manufacturers show consumers exactly what the MSRP is and dealers add on the ADM due to demand. Consumers had easy access to the information what the MSRP is and what ADM is and why it's added. Consumers had the choice of buying with ADM or waiting until the shortages were over.

Before all of Tesla price drops I personally didn't think Tesla was going to be dropping prices on a whim by up to 40k. Customers weren't made aware or the information wasn't easily available by Tesla that the current price is due to shortages and will be reduced drastically once the shortage is over.
