An interesting note...I only saw one Ioniq 5 between Tahoe and Nevada. Tons of Tesla's! Lots of Model Y and 3's, and a few Model S and X. Nevada is not very EV friendly, unless you drive a Tesla

EV ftw!!!
Also the glass roofs on Tesla's do an amazing job of not letting in a lot of heat despite all the "non opening glass".

I saw a lot of Tesla's on the mountain roads between Tahoe and Nevada driving with no issues in 109 F temps doing 70 mph on the winding roads

They had something similar in the past, but in the fight to reduce phantom drain (which is still a bit of a problem) they switched it off. I'd love to be able to have it turn on when the car hits x degrees.
The original reason for the overheat protection was to protect the non-automotive grade screens in early Teslas. Now it's a great feature for hot days.

The other thing is that Musk suggested on the earnings call that they were in active discussions about licensing FSD to other manufacturers. If that happens, there’s significant revenue and margin upside.

Yes, a little odd as nothing really alarming in the headline financials, quite the opposite in fact.
edit - it was the earnings call, as usual. Light on specifics in some key areas. So pretty good financials, poorly delivered.

Traders hate Tesla earnings calls they never get what they want to hear. Fundamentals are incredibly strong, Berlin and Texas are still at the beginning of amortizing. Cybertruck will be volume early next year. Tesla energy is growing quickly this continues to be mostly ignored. FSD who knows when it will be "solved" but it will be. Elon is right this could be the greatest increase in wealth generation in history.
Reminds me of when Elon said the Model Y would become the best selling car of any kind no one believed him.

If you read Barron's, you would think the sky is falling. Here's a CNBC headline:
