For all of our debate about TSLA, Toyota just quietly hit an all-time high today. I do hold TM.

Then again I also have some LCID and RIVN, so there's that.

I personally consider Toyota to be a signifiant EV laggard, but there's no doubt their core business is strong.

If you held TM for 5 years you'd be up what, 75%? I guess there are worse stock to HODL like GM.

I bet you timed the market perfectly and made $1.7 million doing it.

My personal opinion is Toyota should stick with their core business, they sell a ton of hybrids which are still very popular. Financially Toyota is solid and the RAV4 and Corolla sell extremely well. I understand why they push back on EV's, it will only be a losing proposition for them at this point, so why even go down that route

So they should be like Apple? Just sit back and wait for the others to add the tech, and then come out a year or so later and act like they invented it?

Why not? It worked for Apple 🤣 The point here is that going EV will disrupt their business and eat into their sales and profits. The Bz4x should really have never happened. If you are selling over a million Rav4 and Corollas a year, why would you switch gears? Figuratively speaking of course

Apple invented the smartphone. Speaking of Apple.

Don't know why I posted that it has nothing to do with Tesla.

Maybe technically, but the first iPhone changed everything. Touch sensitive context based gesture GUI is pure genius every smartphone today is based on it. The design is so profound we can't imagine anything else. Your Tesla uses the same basic design for the GUI.

I told you to sell TSLA a few months ago.

I agree. Anyone can cherry pick a time line, like 5 years ago. But that person may have issues when someone else cherry pick a timeline from exactly 3 years ago. Hilarious isn't it?

I told you, don't listen to me. Don't take any of my investment advice. Don't consider what I'm saying about disruption, AI, robotics and energy. Do what is best for you.
