I was coming back from the Pocanos, I was down to an 1/8th of a tank and the fuel light came on, and it said I had 89 miles remaining. I stopped for gas lol

Have you driven a Taycan? The 4S (and a refreshed one is coming later this year with more range and other improvements) would be a great alternative to a Model S.

It's performance (straight line acceleration) is more in line with an S LR, not a Plaid. However the rest of the car more than makes up for that (quality, driving dynamics etc).

If the SUV like space of the Model S is one of your requirements, then the Taycan can't compete with that.

This is the i7 I test drove last year. I like this front end better.

I will probably look at the Taycan and Etron GT but I am so used to the power of the Plaid I don’t think I can go back. I also need the space of the S and have heard the others are a little tight. I plan to still look at them though. I bet I will really like the interiors in those cars and the exteriors look great IMO.

I like that front end in dark colors, not light colors. Issue is I don't want a dark color.

Yeah it does look better as do the wheels/tires. I also like the blacked out trim around the windows etc.

If you ever drive outside of California you may not be so lucky or at least experience what a lot others experience far as lack of charging availability.

In the LX when the DTE reads 0, it has 4 gallons left. I’m not the type to rush to a gas station soon as I see the gas light.

Has anyone driven down to the -negative %? I’ve seen videos on YouTube of it being done. I would be that guy. 🫣
The only states I would drive to are Oregon, Washington State, and maybe... maybe Arizona. All the Western states have a ton of superchargers. If I ever had to go to Nevada, which is not very EV friendly, I would take my Sienna, or rent a car. Otherwise I'm flying.

I'm actually thinking of going to the Grand canyon, in most cases you fly to Las Vegas and get a rental, but I may actually drive it, as it's a beautiful drive

Anyone regularly driving 100 miles a day in town/city driving should absolutely consider an EV. They are at their most efficient in urban driving. They are the polar opposite of ICE vehicles in that respect.

When I was in SoCal on my last trip, I was driving nearly 100 miles a day, and it saved me a bunch of money, with gas out there being above $5 a gallon. I'm actually taking to my brother, and I'm going to be putting a charger in his garage this summer so I never have to hit a supercharger while I'm visiting

T-Mobile just announced a cool perk - no need to recharge EVs on rentals from Hertz. Not sure of any limitations but if I were a customer I’d rent an EV now (we’re an Avis house)

How does the Bz4x not have an auto parking brake?

Toyota bZ4X crashes into the ocean after the driver forgot to put the EV in park [Video]

That's a pretty huge oversight. My Model Y, Ioniq 5, and Polestar will put themselves automatically in "Park" and engage the emergency brake if you are using OPD and open the driver door

I just saw one, I'll try to find the link. A guy in a CT made it to a supercharger on -5%. He barely crawled in there but he did make it.
That DTE is inaccurate on every Toyota/lexus vehicle we have. The gas light comes on in my Tundra when there’s 8 gallons left and shows 23 DTE. Low fuel light comes on when there’s 23 miles left in Prius. I drive an extra 100 miles before I start looking for gas. Consensus says Toyota does this to keep the fuel pump cool but I think Toyota makes it idiot proof to run out. I’ve ran out 4x…🫣🥹😂 trying to how much I can get away with.

I think I saw that same video. I want to say he got down to 25mph max speed trying to reach the charger.

You’re the perfect 1st owner 2nd hand owners love to purchase from. Meticulously cared for minus the auto car wash swirls😁. My old LS 460 came with a gospel cd in the cd player. Clear sign, it was meant for me to buy!!

This is what some of us experience, lack of chargers.
