and i personally hate the term 'generative ai' as far too limited/simplistic vs where ai is going. it only means generate something based on what a human presented which is weak.
The winners will be companies like Nvidia selling hardware so we can have LLMs generate crap, basically fancy memes. Sure some will be useful, human like answers to humans asking questions. Some will be incredibly useful like in medicine, chemistry, physics etc.
I think the concept of generative AI will become wildly popular and it'll be viewed as a commodity in a way, but I think the aspects of things like privacy and (lack of) model bias will differentiate the companies providing it. OpenAI is very far from the company it was supposed to become; therefore the product itself is as well.

but i'm not scared as there's nothing i can do about it, except try to keep up my own cybersecurity and have measures if everything gets encrypted with ransomware.

one of my big concerns is ai written viruses and hacking attacks... they could be very rapidly adapting, very able to hide themselves (so hard to detect), and could potentially syphon ENORMOUS amounts of money rapidly.
but i'm not scared as there's nothing i can do about it, except try to keep up my own cybersecurity and have measures if everything gets encrypted with ransomware.

That's why we're going to remove humans from all decision making and let the AI do it. ![Peep](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/peep.gif)

That's a completely different type of attack. The attacks against corporate institutions are a lot more sophisticated. You would be amazed. 30 years in IT, some of them could fool me if I'm not careful

ok back to ev's here...
i was driving along a highway today, when i looked over and a woman driving a red model Y had pulled up besides me and was smiling and gesturing wildly that she liked my car.
i gave her the thumbs up too and then floored it for grins. ![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)

More problems @ Fisker

The company plans to lay off 15 percent of its workforce — nearly 200 people — as it shifts from a direct-to-consumer to a Dealer Partner model. The company is halting all investments in upcoming models and will resume only if in partnership with another automaker.
