You can use that battery for the lawnmower too, they all work in all the equipment.

My yard is .38 acre...so a little smaller but not much...
I had the ego mower with the one lever that’s raises it up and down and it had the dual cutting blades. Coming from a gas trimmer I had the ego trimmer WOT when I used it unknowingly I was draining the battery that much faster. Overall it’s a great product!!

Back to ev's, I've seen some newer Ionics around here near me in S Florida

The body style looks good but so far the colors I've seen are only so so.

White, gray, etc but nothing really cool yet.

Not that the standard colors look bad, just haven't seen any with metallic flashy colors yet.

Knowing what I’ve learned here, I probably would’ve/should’ve bought an EV. With that being said I still don't know which one I would buy? Long range would be #1 priority. My wife would be afraid to drive it unless it had a full battery. She’s afraid of being away from home and depleting the battery.

Probably can get another $10k easily.
The EV revolution is dead as of now.
as allen pointed out, '25 is about to hit so they want to clear those '24s out. it's not a sign of ev apocalypse.

there's a blue/gray colors that's really great. might be what amirza has. mine's a matte gray which wasn't necessarily what i wanted but as my work car i really don't care. as for 'flashy' colors, i don't think there are any.

well if it's for use within say 75 mi. of your home, she should have no concerns at all. about range, a 2wd (rwd) ioniq gets better range than the awd, i think about 10% better. unless a trip involves long stretches of 80+mph i'm confident in mine (awd) doing at least 200mi on a full charge, but for day to day use, i keep it between 50 and 90% charged.

but if taking longer trips then my experience thus far has been to plan on charging up near the destination so i wake up with near full car and no concerns. i'm not one who is going to plan on arriving part way or the end with 2% charge left!

I can tell you without a doubt that my wife is the biggest technically phobic person who exists. Now she confidently drives everywhere without any worries. Since 2020.

As far as what EV she should drive, that depends on many factors. Most EVs today will get you easily 250 miles, and the more expensive ones like the EQS 300 plus. You already know what my choice would be

My wife drives a 2023 Ioniq 5 SEL AWD, it gives her the range to drive anywhere in Northern California on a 90 percent charge, she loves it, it's comfortable, stylish with no frill tech. It also chargers extremely fast on a 350 kW charger if needed

Our neighbor has an EV9 and my wife mentioned she likes it. The EV9 neighbor has their charger installed outside of the garage which I thought was different. Another neighbor I believe has the EV6. We aren’t currently in the market for a new vehicle at the moment but I will keep my eye open on what’s out there and what’s coming down the pipeline.

My wife’s coworker has the Mercedes EQS I believe ( the Mercedes EV car) and he said he loves it.

Complete 180 random thought, I saw a LC 500 on YouTube today and I almost feel in love. 😍

New models come out all the time and again Porsche doesn’t do this type of thing.

Another example is the Mach E which I think looks great and is reasonably priced for an EV. Ford is doing 72 MONTHS financing at 0%. If that is not giving the car away when rates are 6% or higher.

Tesla will need to lower prices again later this year to continue volume increases.

You may be confusing me with someone else - when did I predict stock market plunge or financial disaster?!

We were technically in a recession after Covid but our government changed the definition. The average citizen is keeping less money in their pocket now than ever due to inflation, high rates and stagnant wages.

But things like multiple Banks failing in last 2 years, record inflation, commercial RE blowing up where average transaction now has owner putting in 30-40% equity on a refi for office/retail property. Ye all those are not great. Lol

The good thing is most of us live in US which still has the strongest and most resilient economy.

I'm just waiting for the EV apocalypse so that I can pick up a $220k+ used Taycan for $100k to $150k!

I drove around some this afternoon and I found that Ford dealers have a TON of Bronco stock now, including Raptors. Does that mean that the Bronco is no longer hot?
