I hope this is successful, I would hate to see Fisker disappear off the map
Agreed, faster we move to all EVs the better. Shouldn't legacy OEMs be snapping up pure EV makers on the cheap? Seems like a great way to acquire tech instead of starting from scratch.

Does anyone really want to acquire what Fisker has?
A bit off topic, but one of the reasons I'm uncomfortable with either my family or myself driving older cars with older safety tech:
The story behind this: my nephew and my sister-in-law were getting on the freeway a couple of weeks back, it was raining hard, and the car immediately hydroplaned and spun around and was struck head on by the car behind them. This is an early 2000's (maybe 2003?) Toyota Corolla, no traction control, no stability control, maybe Anti-lock braking, not sure about that. Thank God nobody was seriously hurt, my sister in law suffered a fracture on her chest. My nephew has been driving only about a year. I warned my brother to get him a newer car, it didn't have to be brand new, just something with traction/stability control, maybe something 2015 and on. But he was like: "It will be alright". Well, thankfully nobody was killed. Hopefully the next car he gives him will be a bit newer
Further to that it grinds my gears when people are dead set against autonomous technology it is going to save lives. And most people don't think about this even if you don't die in a wreck many times there are serious permanent injuries.

That looks like a generation 5 Camry.
Nope, it's a Toyota Corolla S, basically a Corolla with a body kit. Worst body kit in the world, parts of it would just fall off. It was my dad's car, than got passed down when he could no longer drive
Yep I recognize it now a cousin of mine owned one for a long time. I've driven it not my favourite Toyota.
Structure looks like it held up well but I can't see inside the cabin so could be misleading.
The front completely disintegrated, which is a good thing because it absorbed the impact. Pic of the inside:
It handled the crash really well like Toyota's do, but didn't have safety features like Traction Control that would have prevented the accident in the first place
Cabin is intact that's a good result. You're right modern stability control mitigates overreacting of steering and brake input which most people do in a panic situation.
