Their Chinese prices are cheap, their European prices are similar to Tesla. Their cheapest car - BYD Dolphin is priced $10k in China, and $37k in Germany.

The European M3P is down on power. At 11.3 those cars are (relatively) slow. The Highland M3P is a 10 second car. Some are seeing 10.7's and better.

There is a pretty huge HP difference between the two, the Euro version has 470 HP vs 600. So the outcome was pretty much what I thought it would be. The US version would close the gap some

That may be true but I feel that Carwow never gets the published time or what some get in the US. Even when they test the Plaid they never get the number people get here.

I didn’t know there was that much of a difference in power.

M3P has 510 HP according to Tesla but several people have done the math by looking at live data and it's closer to 600

Haha yes, just a software update, but only the dealership can perform it. Not a big deal because her car is overdue for routine service anyway. Plus the Hyundai dealership is 10 minutes from my work (this is a different one from the one I bought it from), they are very customer service oriented, and they will give me Lyft rides back plus pick me up. Win win!

Same motors, less power to lower the taxes on it. Yep, regulators

Pretty sure the lower power is due to different battery cells.

That's not what I read a couple months back, but you could be correct
