No, all modes were available. We did normal and Insane...which is INSANE 🤣. Only thing they did was limit speed to 85 MPH. We were getting on the highway and he floored it, then he said it ran out of power, but the warning had popped up showing they limited the speed. I would say that's pretty smart because when you drive this car at 85 it feels like 50 mph

You have to at least do a test drive, Tesla makes it so easy. My co-worker suddenly got the urge to check out the M3P, we went on Tesla's website, filled out a form, and 10 minutes later we were at the Tesla Fremont showroom. Tesla employee walked us to the car, explained to my co-worker the basic features, said we have 30 minutes and we were off on a roller coaster ride...literally! 30 minutes later we parked the car and headed back to the office. No sales pressure, didn't have to deal with a person at all unless we had questions. Think you can just test a drive a car at dealership and walk off without pressure and a sales pitch? Last test drive I did was an i7, sales guy wanted to run my credit before I even did the drive, which I declined with a lot of "it's procedure". Then afterwards I told him I had a meeting, but he still insisted I let him run the numbers.
Why the hell not if it's so easy.

But I will get to it. The dealer is walking distance almost.

I'm talking about from a performance perspective, and I stand by that statement 1000 percent. My co-worker who test drove it yesterday owns two 911's, and told me the Model 3 Performance was one of the fastest and most balanced cars he's ever driven. He's debating buying it now or waiting for the new Model Y Performance to come out next year

The Model 3 is a family sedan, and a Model Y is a family crossover it may be an incredibly fast family sedan/crossover but it still doesn't make $100k sports cars irrelevant to anybody except somebody who never should have wasted $100k on something they never understood in the first place.
I would basically choose every $100k+ sports car over a Model 3 or Y.

But a Model 3 is no replacement for a 911 on any level, not to anybody to whom a 911 wouldn't be wasted on anyways.

My question is, would you have ever bought a $100k+ car in the first place? My guess is no...and I would also question how many $100k+ sports cars you've driven. A car of that caliber offers SO much more to the driver than simply being fast in a straight line and handling well.
This is part of what frustrates me about Tesla hype, its a great car but its not THE best car ever made and it doesn't outclass EVERY car the way you're saying it does. Its not a 911. Its not an S Class. Its not an Aston Martin. The list goes on and on. What it is is an incredibly well packaged and fun family sedan or family crossover that makes a much more appealing daily driver than most other things you can buy for the price. Why can't that be enough? When you make crazy claims like "its makes $100k sports cars irrelevant and my friend is going to trade his 911 in on one", those statements are just absurd.

I saw this video, these guys are bias. They loved the car but tried to pretend they hated it. 99 percent of people aren't going to track this car, and the 1 percent who do will spend $10k to upgrade the brakes, suspension and tires, and it will still be cheaper than an M3 or M4, which are cars I love BTW
Somebody who truly appreciates an M3 or M4 isn't going to care that a Model 3 is cheaper. A Toyota Camry is also cheaper...its meaningless as the cars are not comparable.

Then he's nuts IMO. But...an M3 is not a $100k+ sports car. I would take an M3 over a Model 3 or Y every day of the week though, way more interesting and desirable car IMO, and an entirely different car. Nobody is cross shopping the two.
