Worth noting that the charger Ford will install is the Charge Station Pro which is both excellent and powerful, and can charge at up to 80 amps so 19.2 kw. I got mine free because of my trim level. Getting it free plus free install is an excellent deal. Ford also reduced bluecruise pricing today for those that have to subscribe.

They're building a new Porsche dealer in my town. It's not yet opened, but they have 2 charging stations setup in their lot. I drove by on Sunday and saw a Model S sitting there plugged in.

CJD dealers do advertise a total rebate including all rebates you need to qualify for, but if you do qualify for all of them which is possible even if its unusual, then you can stack them all. Thats not really false advertising.
i don’t agree, I consider it to be a deceptive practice when multiple individual rebates that are most probably mutually exclusive are positioned as cumulative. Most people don’t read the fine print, and the dealer is banking on them realizing that the rebate isn’t what they thought it would be while they are at the dealership rather in the comfort of their own home.

and what I actually said was “much of the time they are the aggregate of multiple essentially unstackable rebates where you couldn't possibly qualify for all of them (e.g. you have to be a teacher who is also in the military, is a recent college grad while also being a senior and the owner of three different competitor vehicles).”

In addition to the free charger plus free install and the price reductions for BlueCruise announced today, Ford also launched a new program today for California where your home charging data is optionally shared with Ford and CARB and to the extent necessary is offset by renewable energy/credits.

It’s not normal here to see a professional, handsome guy in a suit come park and charge at a park. It’s not California. More power to the guy, I’m just saying. Guessing he doesn’t home charge. I’d have an EV if I had money for lots of cars but I would NEVER buy one if I didn’t have home charging. EVER.

I wouldn't own one as well if home charging wasn't an option

Some people live by the "always be charging" principle, whether they have a home charger or not. You can't read much into seeing someone charge at a public charger. Some people will (and do) charge anywhere they see a charger they're able to use.

Oh I get that, but it’s not a cordless phone it’s an automobile lol.

Would you own an EV with no home charging? Honest genuine question.

No doubt home charging is much better. If I didn't have L2 charging at home it would make things more challenging, particularly with a 131kWh battery, and it would make me think twice. With that said some people can and do get by without home charging. It all depends on your local infrastructure. With the number of chargers near here I'm pretty sure I could make it work here if I had to. But no, I might not own one if I could not charge at home.

I have several co-workers that own Tesla's and rent, and have no home charging. So there are a lot of people who don't mind going to chargers, although I'm not one of those unless I'm traveling or just need a quick charge

Its a deceptive practice for sure, most carmakers don't do that though it really is largely a CJD thing.
