After the Florida Mall location in your route planner, the next EA charger is at the Walmart in Port St. Lucie, on that little branch of the grey route that is west of the blue route. Next one is in Palm Beach Gardens, and at that point you might as well continue on to your destination.

So then yeah, there are effectively no EA stations south of Orlando until you're within the sphere of Palm Beach. That's probably why it has you charge all the way.

Is this from EA's website or the app? The App will give you real time status of the chargers

LOL, I much prefer 95 to T'pike. Drove it today to head north to Orlando (95 to 528). An exit every couple of miles compared to every 30 miles, 4-5 lanes instead of 2. If something goes wrong on the T'pike, you have no way around it. Also too many left lane snowbirds going 70 on T'pike and you can't get around them due to lack of lanes.

Back to the EV relevance here, I would've guessed 95 had more charging options (was going to suggest it because it only added 6 minutes to your route) but I now see on your image you posted that there's nothing until Port St Lucie even along 95. Weird.

ha. 95 has generally a much poorer surface (bumps, ruts, strips, changing material), and WAAAAAAAY more tractor trailers. each to their own.

but yes, TP needs more lanes (they're expending it right now from orlando to i75 at least. don't see any slow left laners... everyone's doing 80-90 except when waze warns of a speed trap, lol.

and EA has a charger at cocoa by the way.

I hope you don't mind Bit, but I'm going to piggy back off your thread

Today our Ioniq was down to around 34 percent, and instead of plugging it in at home, I decided to take it to the nearest Electrify America. Since it supports 350 kW charging, just curious how fast it will go from 34 percent SoC to 80 percent. The overall results were a little disappointing.

When I arrived, all three chargers were in use. Wait was about 10 minutes before one of them freed up, so not a big deal.

The available 350 kW charger is placed to the right which is the passenger side, since the charging port is passenger side rear, I pulled in head first. Unfortunately, the cable on this particular charger couldn't reach the charging port and no way to extend it, so I had to back in as close as I could, and bring the cable around the rear. This was not an easy task, I had to use both hands and a lot of force to get the larger bulky CCS connector plugged in. I'm pretty sure my wife would have had a tough time. Here's what it looked like

To be fair, had one of the other two chargers been available, it would have been less of an issue as this particular charger also has a CHAdeMO connector and has to be positioned for a Nissan leaf.

The charging speed and curve were probably the most disappointing aspect. It was almost opposite a charging curve then my Tesla. It started around 72 kW, and slowly made it's way to a max 133 kW. On a 250 kW charger, my Tesla will start above 200 kW and peak around 60 percent before dropping. The Ioniq did 34 percent to 80 percent SoC in 20 minutes. Not bad, but not what I expected

Saved me about maybe 4 minutes over my Tesla. Who knows, maybe it was just this particular charger. I'll probably hit a different set of chargers near my work next week

interesting and thanks for sharing!!!

yeah, terrible position to charge and obviously not good to bend the cable around like that. from the pic not sure why your car could have been 180 degrees around with the charge port on the same side as the charger?
