This probably belongs in its own thread, but I have a 2 1/2 year old pickup truck with 7k miles. Most of those miles are from road trips to SC and then to FL the past 2 years. We'll see if we take it next year, or maybe try the MY. We definitely didn't want to be all-in when we bought the Y in July. I can now see that happening, though.

Wow congrats Bit, looks great. I am seeing more and more of them around here and I think they look pretty sharp.

Well, congratulations, bit. Now we don't need to ask what your current vehicle is.

i got homelink setup, sorted all the stuff i had in the back that had come out of my santa fe. obviously the ioniq 5 doesn't have as much room and surprisingly only very shallow compartment sections under rear floor cover, but it's all good, i was carting way too much stuff around before.

apple carplay works great.

audio system is very good.

couldn't care less about the free sirius trial lol

glove box is surprisingly huge and has a big compartment in the door... just right for ahem, protection.

surprised that usb's are "A"s not "C"s but no biggie, i'll only use one for carplay (sadly hyundai still doesn't have wireless carplay on their big screen infotainment on current models).

didn't drive it today... was too busy with the unload/load and researching charging options, calling an electrician, etc.!

Since you're down here in Florida, how's the AC doing?

For anyone up north, living down here requires tint and/or strong AC. Lol

I don’t get why Tesla won’t incorporate Apple CarPlay. Cmon now even Lexus/Toyota is on board.

Congrats - the exterior design is great and timeless.
I was less impressed with the interior when I sat in one at NY auto show though.

Its def one of the best looking EVs out currently.

The AC will be fine. Both our 2020 Ioniq EV and the new Ioniq 5 handles 100 F plus temps easily. We are in a heatwave right now, and driving in 95 F today it was very comfortable in the cabin

Well that's a big plus because nobody wants a car that doesn't have very strong AC down here in summer. Lol

But, I think 100 degrees Forida heat feels more hot than Cali or other places.
Spoiler

ac feels exactly like any other car i have or have driven (just fine and cold).

For anyone up north, living down here requires tint and/or strong AC. Lol
i've never tinted a car in florida (yet). no issue. i might do this one just to keep it cooler inside when sitting at my office, although does it really make a difference if a car is sitting out for hours?

couple more impressions from today's driving...

car is quick! can't imagine calls like tesla plaid or r1s top trim (835hp)

car makes a low 'space age' type sound outside at low speed so pedestrians aren't killed i wish i could turn it off.
as i walk toward the car with key fob in pocket the doors and trunk unlock automatically.
level 1 charging is a complete joke.
got my first level 2 charger that's 'only' 25A because my barn's dryer outlet is 10-30 type with 30 amp breaker. when i get the house outlet put in the garage it will be 50 or 60A breaker.
in a quick test, the new charger seems to be about 10x faster than the level 1.
the car talks (outside) when you start/stop charging.
the driver's seat has a power leg / thigh cushion for when taking naps while charging.
the rear seats slide back/forward and also recline.
there's a "driver's only" climate mode to save wasting using power for cooling a passenger who isn't there.
quirk, to get to the cooled seats setting, you touch a lable called "warmer"
