since you have all ev's and a rarely used sienna, i'm guessing your mechanic doesn't see you often.
Haha Lol no, he doesn't. Last time he saw me was last month when he rotated my tires on the Model Y. $30. But I'll be taking my Sienna to him in June for an oil change, tire rotation, full inspection, probably I'll do the transmission fluid swap. It recently hit 170K, last oil change was almost a year ago. He keeps busy though, he has a lot customers with fleet trucks like HVAC companies
so the center area has a 'floating' arm rest that has a shallow compartment in it to hold stuff. it's shallow because there's another open area below it, for more stuff. however, the rubber 'mats' in each area is flat and stuff can move around.
so on amazon i found upgraded ones. they're great!
old arm rest compartment mat: (excuse dirt)
replaced with upgrade:
bottom compartment mat:
replaced with upgrade.
now i can put stuff like a pen, coins, etc. in appropriate compartment and they don't move around.

I wish they made stuff like that for the S Class, I would get one for sure.
Does seem odd that they're available for literally any Mercedes with an A, B, or C in the name, as well as a fair number of things with an E in the name. But nothing with an S.

Just has to do with marketability I'm sure. There are so many more of those on the road.
so there's still a load of features functions i've not really explored on the ioniq 5.
discovered two of them i'm still learning more about.
1) "Auto" regen - unlike "1 pedal driving" (basically variable to max regen when taking foot off gas some or all), auto regen can change the amount of regen depending on traffic! it uses the adaptive cruise sensors to know if there's cars in front, and how close, relative speed, etc., so if there's a car much slower and you're approaching, when you take your foot off the gas it can give up to a certain amount of regen (configurable). when driving on the highway though without traffic, the car will 'coast' when you take your foot off the gas, automatically! at least that's my initial understanding of it... it's complicated
2) battery usage and tons of other stats - i was wondering why i couldn't see detailed charging and battery consumption usage, but it turns out you can. touch the 'car' on the main screen and to go into ev trip info screen like this on the center screen
then press the '1' car to get usage info like this:
these numbers change as you drive which i quite cool.
