That doesn't make them any less crooks and incompetent. They have actually made it harder for people to afford solar due to recently enacted rules they pushed for that make solar less attractive to new customers

Depends on the deal; mine is pretty good. I am on NEM2, which credits me for generation and debits me for use. Annual true up.
But even if they do, PG&E did not have to spend more capital to get the electricity. Basically, I am my own company, funded by me. FYI, I love my solar.

back to home chargers ...

i have approved deal and electrician to have the chargepoint flex wired charger installed in my garage. it will happen shortly after the electrician receives the charger. i told electrician i want a 60A circuit and he calculated it will take 35ft of wire to get to the charger location from the panel, which is a big chunk of the cost.

Sounds about right, my neighbors was $1,500. The run of cable is a big expense, that’s already done at my place I just have to have it run into the garage and finished.

Wire isn't that much 40 feet is $200-$250.

It's the labor for pulling that wire. That means it's 40 feet from the panel, and 40 ft of piping, and pulling it through the pipes. Electricians charge around $120 to $140 an hour

I don't know what the wiring codes are in Florida, but here you have to run it through pipes. That means the cost of the piping, bending and cutting an sometimes putting them through walls or roofs and securing them

Exactly. The bulk of the cost of the job is the wire, the wire itself, the labor to run it, conduit etc
