Kia EV9 Pricing and specs
#17
Same with my Ody Honestly, if they sold it with sliding doors, it would be a great minivan replacement. It's also very easy to get into and out of especially compared to my Rivian.
Pricing might not be that competitive vs. ICE cars in its segment, but in the 3 row EV SUV segment it's very impressive. Lowest trim R1S starts at $75K with the standard range battery that'll go ~270 miles. It does give you 533 HP though

Actually just finished watching this. High praise for the ride quality and fit/finish. Not enough range in that top spec IMO. But itll look cool while you're always charging it though. Lol

I rode in one today for about 45 minutes. Believe it or not, it was a livery cab in NYC. The owner has had it for 2 weeks and loves it. I can say, it is extremely smooth and ultra quiet. Very impressive. The 3rd row is tighter than i expected, but plenty of room in the 2nd row. I really enjoyed my short time in it today.

I like the way they look personally, but at it's price point, and having to deal with a dealership, I would pay a little more and get a Model X with the 7 seat option

My wife and I had one as our Uber back from the airport after our last trip to see our grandson. It's a very nice vehicle to be driven in - quiet, comfortable, smooth, well-built, no rattles etc. Didn't see too much of the tech, but what I saw looked pretty good and while we didn't have any opportunity to test if it had sufficient power, it absolutely held its own while on the freeway home. Plenty of room, this would work really well as a family vehicle.
Verdict: Experienced one as a passenger only, but as passengers we liked it a lot. May well be on the list for the grandparent-mobile, along with the ID.Buzz.

I agree, I've change my mind since I wrote that. I took a second look at the Model X, and the falcon wings are a no go for me. I don't care about the luxury, Model X is comfortable, but its unnecessarily heavy...due the falcon wings. The only thing keeping me away from EV9 is still having to deal with a dealership
