Thanks! I need to go back and drive it again! 😁

Awesome review, I need to test drive one myself. I really like the looks and fit and finish but I don’t like the price. I also like the Etron GT equivalent and like the looks of those a little better.

Did you feel the interior space was that much smaller than the S? I really like the space in the S.

Interior space in the Taycan sedan vs a Tesla Model S is definitely less especially in the trunk area as the Taycan sedan is not a hatchback like the Model S. As far as passenger seating is concerned, its about the same in the rear seats however the seating is more suited to 2 passegers as you can see in the pics below. Front seat passenger space is similar to the Model S, but the Taycan has less space for storage in the center console.

The sound that the doors make when shut and the overall quality of car, materials, fit and finish is on another level compared to my Model S. No comparison whatsoever. I haven't had a chance to drive the newer S like yours yet, so can't compare it to that. I would imagine the Taycan is still much better in terms of the quality though.

I'll put it this way, if I could afford a Taycan, I would get a Sport Turismo over an S. The difference in price is literally 2X between the cars. Is the Taycan worth 2X an S? That's a very subjective and personal decision.

A fairer comparison in terms of size/space would be the Sport or Cross Turismo model.

It's actually called "Coffee beige mettalic".

Yes the range now is over 300 miles 👍

I do find it interesting when we talk about "range problems" given that drivers in the US drive on average under 40 miles per day. The average driver doesn't have a range problem with any EV on sale today, let alone one with 300 miles of range or so. No vehicle type works for everyone, but we need to take a pause on this "range problem" mindset because for most people, most of the time, there absolutely isn't one.

I agree with a caveat of - as long as you have a reliable place to charge every few days. I probably wouldn't own an EV if I didn't have a place to charge at home

Agreed. My 2016 Model S has 237 miles of range (originally 255 when new) and its perefectly fine. I've had the car for almost 5 years now.

So I'm guessing that's the reason my wife bought me a pink shirt and couldn't understand why I made a face when I saw it...because she sees colors differently

Honestly I couldn't care less what any color is called. All that really matters to me is - do I like it or not?

The rest is semantics. 😁

The real point of this review was to highlight the fact that the quality (assembly, fit and finish, materials, overall solidity) of the car and the driving experience (handling, steering feel, throttle (EV smoothness) etc) is extremely high. Two qualities that I value above everything else.

Saw a newer 4 door Taycan today at the store driving by as I was walking in.

Had to do a double take, looks good in the wild

I know it's blasphemous, but my 2 favorite Porsches are the Panamera and Taycan Sport Turismo
