That’s subjective to the individual. That 71 was in EV mode so I guess I have a loud “EV” as well

But no need to try to push down other people's cars with anecdotal data about how bad they are, when we've actually been driving the things forever and know what their negatives and positives are - just as I hope you know what the positives and negatives are for your vehicles
I’ve learned the goalposts are mobile. 🤣

Its not subjective when you can compare the noise levels of various cars. 62 dB is quieter than 71 dB. You may be happy with a car that loud but that doesn't mean it isn't louder than other cars.

And again, are you just going to ignore the multiple times I have explained that the engine has very little to do with the overall interior noise of a car at 75 MPH?

70 db is not a quiet car, BTW...

Again, I owned the car for 7 years. You can keep pretending that I don't know what I'm talking about but I do. Not anecdotal.
Are you co-signing my 4 cylinders are louder than my V8s? Seeing I have both I can put it to rest with a test. 😁

What 4 cyl cars and what 8 cyl cars do you have?

Like I said, at highway speeds the engine is not what is driving interior noise, so before I tell you that I have to know what kinds of cars we are talking about

What app did you use? I will download it and post the interior noise levels according to that app in my cars

We got here because others have stated MY 4 cylinders are louder than MY V8s.

The conversation has since shifted to multiple different angles like acceleration, powerful, drony, smooth, etc.

What kind of cars are they? You took what we said to mean the engines are making them loud at 75 MPH and thats not what we said, at least not what I said.

What app?

3rd gen Prius
FK8
Rav4 hybrid
R4P
LX 570

Of those cars the LX and the Tundra are going to be the quietest, followed by the Rav 4s and then the Prius. What is an FK8?

You sir are taking this way to serious and personal. I just stated MY observation from the vehicles I own. You made a general statement about 4 cylinders and V8s and I so happen own both.

I actually had to go back and see what’s the title of this thread🤣. I think my 1st post on the matter was I don’t get it in reference on how the prime is the most green vehicle.

Is that a guesstimation? It certainly isn’t true from a hard acceleration perspective view. See videos above.

FK8 = Civic Type R

Trying to turn my words against me, huh? I still wouldn't ever buy a four cylinder. Nor a six or eight. Dont worry, I also forgot what this thread was about days ago

My next door neighbors Type R, btw

Thats based on my experience driving a wide variety of cars and testing them for sound pressure. Not talking about hard acceleration, I'm talking about driving down the highway.

I downloaded the Decibel X app and went out and got a reading in the Pacifica, I was going to do both it and the S560 but it started to rain, so the reading with the S560 wouldn't have any value.

This is a 75 MPH cruise
