I’ve taken at least 2 roadtrips in my R4P and both have been over 500 miles in hybrid mode on a tank.

The Volvos and Mercedes are quick 0-60!! All low 4 secs

Interesting!

For the RX 450h+, I got 46+ miles (74 km) on EV alone yesterday, driving a combination of highway and suburban/urban roads, 2 passengers. Weather was warm, so that likely helped the battery.

I have not had it for long enough to get mpg on HV, but its usable tank is 14.5 gallons, so at the EPA rated 35 mpg combined (and I can probably get more than that in real life), the total range would be 553 miles (890 km).

Would be interesting to see whether with Prius-like hypermiling, one can get that close to 600 miles lol

I still have no interest in going 500 miles without a stop At 2-3 hours of driving I need a break

I’ve gotten 600 miles on a tank of gas in my 3rd gen Prius. That was mixed around town driving.

Break when I need gas or reach destination, whichever occurs first.

Ok, well, that's kinda unfair as it's a Prius My 3rd gen gets 50+ mpg as well during some trips I've taken (though I admit I've never actually documented it with a pic), so with a tank above 11 gallons, 600 miles should be reachable.

I just looked at the mpg of some of those plug ins in the article, and some were as low as 28 mpg!!!! *****ing shameful. Basically getting by on very large tanks.

I was that way too when I was a young man.

I can't do that anymore tho. Lol

Stopping every 1-2 hrs is my norm now plus I can stretch my legs.

I think that's a good practice anyways as I read somewhere you risk developing thrombosis of the legs if they are not moved too often.
