No, I didn't say that. But I would say more are driving Hybrids than V8's. RX450h and RX350h are very popular, as well as BMW X3 M40i

I'm really liking the Ionic 5 N. It might just be something that bridges the divide between both worlds. It certainly seems like Hyundai had that goal in mind. The (probable) shame is their dealers thinking it's still 2021.

The markup on it is just insane, and I don't expect it to go away with the low numbers that are being allocated to dealerships

It'll be a shame if it winds up being cancelled just like the Focus RS because "no one wanted it", when greedy dealers were the sole cause of slow sales.

Another validation from a former race car driver of the "fun factor" of the Ionic 5 N. And he didn't even touch on the fake ICE gear shifts and sounds 👍👍

It's definitely a car you don't buy for trips....

If I heard Doug right, he said it was 350 for the standard and 200 for the N (and based on your post I think you heard the same thing I did), which is a gross exaggeration on both ends. If true, that would be a ridiculous 43% penalty for the performance model, vs the ones most people will buy.

According to Hyundai, all but one trim of the standard version get 303 miles on a charge for RWD, 260 for AWD, so a ~15% penatly for AWD. The N--which is obviously AWD-only--gets 221. So there's another 15% penalty for the extra power and bigger wheels/tires. Not fantastic, but not exactly the end of the world either.

it is a bit funny, however, that the $42k RWD-only base model with 168hp (SE Standard Range, 220 miles) and the $66k AWD-only bonkers performance model with 641hp have the same range, with all the models in between being higher.
