Today was my state inspection day!
I made my appointment about 2 months ago. It was the first and only semi local appointment available. I still drove 45 minutes to get there. If I didn't have the car ready for inspection today I potentially would have had to wait a few more months. I really wish I had more time to update this thread while I was doing the work. I'm sure there were quite a few struggles I forgot to post.
Time crunch...
All of the reassembly started on Monday this week. I installed the door jamb, quarter panel, charge port, and rear bumper on Monday. Tuesday I installed the small glass piece along with the interior trim pieces in the trunk.
This morning ( Wednesday) was my appointment. I'm sure some of the adhesives I used were still wet lol. The good news is it passed! The officer gave it a few bumps with his fist and said nice job. It's now registered as a rebuilt title. Legal to drive anywhere. I put 120 miles on it today. I can confirm Ludicrous / Ludacris mode is impressive
I'm quite relieved it passed. Now the rest of the stuff will be more fun to fix.
A few items on the to do list.
1. Fix autopilot. I noticed the right front sensor wasn't detecting vehicles. I believe that is an easy fix. I have a few new sensors, just haven't found time to install them yet.
2. The quarter panel needs to be attached a little better near the fender liner in a few spots. Once again an easy fix, just adhesive.
3. Fix the glovebox ( stuck closed) I do wonder if there are "goodies" hidden inside.
4. Paint the repaired areas.
