TSLA 5x'ing gives the company a $3.2 trillion dollar market cap NVDA 5x means a $15 trillion dollar market cap you decide which is more likely. RIVN stock will go to the moon if they can ever show a profit.

No chance of sustained profit until mid to late 2026 at the earliest when the R2 is flowing out of the factory. I'm hopeful that the VW JV will give them more runway for everything
In other news, OTA is currently being installed on my R1S. Details are below, but biggest changes are the UI overhaul that the new Gen 2s already have and some additional air suspension tuning

QX80 rental cemented the need for running boards on the Rivian. I ended up going with full rock sliders to give it additional protection because installation requires the removal of some of the plastic cladding. On the plus side, they've also gone on sale since I started looking last week. Should have it in a few weeks and a local shop installs for $200 because I don't feel like renting a bunch of tools to do it at home

Rivian update came in right before the vacation so I didn't have time to test it out on the road. After today's commute I'm very impressed with this second round of suspension tuning. When I first got the car it basically ran like a 4Runner. Pretty bouncy but not entirely unexpected given the off road chops. After the first big R1S tuning update, it rode much smoother. Got rid of the porpoising issue that came up on bumps and when it was on the softest suspension setting ran pretty smooth albeit floaty. With this latest update, the moderate setting runs as smooth as soft did before, but can still take a turn without turning into a boat. It drives like a proper luxury SUV now.

Got the always fun 12v warning today. They’re saying I can still drive but mobile service is going to be coming out soon. Only at 13.5K miles so I’m hoping it shouldn’t be too bad

The problem is, if the 12v battery fails, it will brick the car, even if the HV battery is full. Happened with my previous 2020 Ioniq EV. Had to jump it to get it on the truck bed. Not sure why most EV'S still use lead acid, which is more prone to failure
