ok another thing about the second row seats...

on the test car it was a 3 across bench setup (with 60/40 split folding). sitting in the seat behind the driver's seat, i noticed there's a HARD ridge between that seat and the tiny center seat. also legroom was tight until i realized the seats can go forward/backward some. then it was fine for me (i'm 6'3"). the backs of the front seats were completely plain, cheap looking with no pockets which isn't great.

in the showroom after the drive i tried out the second row in the 6 seater config. the 2 captains chairs don't go forward/backward but they had plenty of room. oddly they had seat controls like the front seats except they don't do anything as far as i could tell, or maybe they were disabled in the showroom. the space between the two captans chairs is very large... perfect for my hefty laptop bag.

anyway, if i got one, i'd prefer the 6 seater.

ah thanks... doesn't look like a split, more like a wire under the cover that's pressing up?

That's what it's described as. You only see it on the Model S/X, Model 3 and Y don't have this

well i can see why it's described as a worm because it looks like a worm under the cover, but it doesn't look like a split at all to me.

ok whatever, but still don't see how it's a split in the cover...

this seems more accurate:

it's a slight bulge that goes through the Tesla lettering between the L and the A
