Smile I test drove the new Ford Explorer EV

Hey everyone,
Over the weekend there I test drove the all new Ford Explorer EV, the one I drove was an artic blue 77kwh Premium model. Priced just over £48,000 in the UK.
For those unaware it is based on the VW ID4, the car was pretty spacious and had a decent rear boot. No front boot or FRUNK in the Explorer EV, it did have a moveable central screen however.
I liked the chunky appearance, it is no where near as luxurious as the RZ 450e that I drove last year.
Expect 370miles+ range from this 77kwh version and 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds.
Cheers, Thomas

Artic Blue Explorer in Premium Trim, 77kwh

Showroom model, 77 kwh Premium model

370miles+ range from 77kwh. Doubtful. Maybe 370 kilometers.

How different is it from the ID.4? Wondering if this is more like the Blazer/Prologue partnership between GM and Honda where the Prologue is largely a rebadge

It looks like that's what they're claiming.

WLTP is pretty generous, but that seems very generous

Makes sense though, they're relying on each other for things they don't think they can do as profitably in house. The new Amarok is just a Ford Ranger.
