Lucid Air

The rubber band-ish effect of a hybrid 100% does not fit a high end luxury car at all, plus it is being compared to a twin turbo V6. Neither are in the same universe of a fully electric drivetrain it is beyond baffling why Lexus didn't make the LS a BEV then have the tech trickle down.
The Lucid crushes the LS in driving enjoyment.

Like everything that exists, you pay more for higher range. The lower end Lucid Air runs around $69K before the EV rebate goes 408 miles and the top of the line Lucid Dream which is about $100K has a range of 522 miles. 400 miles is plenty for me, both my IS350 and 2013 Sienna get max 350 miles on a full tank

I had the 600hL but it had a V8 and I loved that car and powertrain. It was so smooth. Never drove a 500h so not sure how it compares.

Ls500 is a great car, but alot of us never liked it...lack of v8 kills the smooth driving you get from and ls460 or S class. I test drove it few times just wished they would have used the same engine in the LC in the LS.

BTW, I booked a test drive for a dual-motor PoleStar 2 on December 8th. They will be bringing it to me at my work
I'm still trying to book a test drive with Lucid, so far no luck

Pretty sure Lucid has no cars in the wild except for what was delivered to insiders, employees and the like.

That ain't happening at home (and no, there's no level 3 for home unless you have a power station next door).
And it ain't happening at most charging stations either as they can't deliver that much power.
Where do you get $69K? Website says starting at $77,400.
rarer than unicorns and likely to stay that way.

The plugging in argument again lol. I plug in my iPhone, I plug in my iPad, I plug in my laptop. Plugging in the car is a non issue.
100% agree, its like night and day.
500h is completely different than 600hL

I was specifically talking about level 3 fast charging, and if you go further down the thread I mention that you have to go to a level 3 charging station. For me this will not be an issue because I drive less than 20 miles a day, so home charging will work fine, plus if needed, there are fast chargers within 5 minutes from my home and office. On those occasions when I travel far, like going to SoCal, I don't mind making a 30 minute stop to charge, I do that anyway with my gasoline cars.
I will be adding level 2 chargers at home in the next few months, and will probably add another solar array to offset my added electricity use
