‘Interesting. I’m sure they will have a solution.
here is a Polestar down after 9 days. Can’t happen to any brand.

Just realized it Just got me thinking. So MB has had some EV models before. Obviously not as good as EQS tech. But B class had in 2014. Would be interesting to see how they are holding up now.

i read the thread, and in OPs "update" post, no solution was found because one wasn't needed. 12hrs after the first post, the update post says the car is fine again. sounds like the 12V battery was drained for some reason but it fixed itself. i see you posted after the update but maybe you missed it.

Maybe they are running MS Windows, and they finally fixed the issue they broke with an update... with an update

Personally, I wouldn't be satisfied with that...hard to depend on a car if it leaves you stranded and there is no ascertained cause and it just "starts working", especially something thats an entirely different technology than what you're accustomed to.

Not really a comparison worth much as the B-Class had a Tesla drivetrain. Even the current wave of EVs coming from Mercedes like the EQS has drivetrain components largely from suppliers. While that doesn't matter in the slightest to the customer, I'm truly most interested in what's going to happen reliability-wise when Mercedes brings almost everything in house starting in the 2024 MMA Platform vehicles.

All these “1st gen” EV cars will be worthless in 5-10yrs.
I think by 2030, the follow up generations will have huge leaps in battery range and software tech.
This is why i see no reason to jump on EV train anytime soon.

I wouldn't buy one to keep, but I wouldn't buy any car to keep really...
If I lease one now, my next one will be better, and the next one after that will be better.

EV ftw!!!
I doubt very much that's the reason you're not getting an EV. 😊

My fun cars, i tend to keep awhile though. My M3 is now 4yrs old and i had my BRZ for almost 5yrs.
There is no EV that appeals to me in terms of design, driving engagement and value vs ICE competition.
Model X is cool but costs well over $100k and has horrible lease rates. For that same $$$, I would much rather get X5M or even X3M Comp.
Model Y Perf looks goofy and interior is garbage for $65-70k.
I may test out Mach E but then there is no charging infrastructure. For example, this summer we went on a road trip from NY to Tennessee and Smokey Mountains. This would be a nightmare in EV especially with kids.

That's why you lease for at least the next 3 years. But try to buy an 8 to 10 year old Tesla, they still retain their value. a 2016 Model S is $49K to $75K

Saw my first Lucid Air on the road today on our way to NJ, I thought it looked awesome. My wife was even impressed…
