Porsche Taycan (interior revealed post #104)

Totally disagree.
Tesla is very unique as its not a typical car brand.
It has incredible brand name for techies, green people and young people.
Most Green people will never consider a Porsche because they are owned by VW and the whole dieselgate plus that most of their lineup has gas engines. For techies, Tesla Multimedia system is way more advanced than other brands.
I was at Tesla store in Meatpacking yesterday and there was bunch of ppl there.

Agreed, they don't make cars, rather vehicles. They dropped 'Motors' from their name a few years ago.
Porsche doesn't necessarily need the greenies. Their brand is so strong already, and their profit margins are some of the highest in the industry. I know a few techies that drive Porsche. By adding an EV they are simply strengthening their portfolio, and giving to the market a desirable badge with pedigree and heritage.
Tesla has a huge following. Musk utilizes social media well. I just see them struggling when the larger players offer more or less the same thing in the coming years. Maybe because I work 2 miles form the Tesla Factory I've become immune and a bit jaded to Tesla. Have you sat in any model? I'm not impressed, barely knocks on the door of 'Premium' let alone 'Luxury' EV which they like to label themselves. Tesla is a mixed bag.
But this is about Porsche and the Taycan. If it looks anything like the Mission E concept, with those exotic curves, the deposits will pile on.

Turned 4 years old last month and its an absolute joy to drive through all 4 seasons.
Hopefully I'll be able to get my wife out of her CRV and into a NX soon. As, back on topic, I'm told the Taycan Sport Turisomo should be out right around the time my Macan turns 8

It's a Porsche so I'm sure you could option it up to that, but Automobile Mag is saying it'll start at ~$75K with 3 trim levels. Grain of salt of course as nothing's official until it's official
