Same. The top down view comes on automatically when you shift to reverse but even my Ody tilts (but only one side)

Fingers crossed!

You're referring to when you're reversing?

Right. My Lexus vehicles (except for the 98 LS and 03 ES) all tilted both mirrors as have all the other cars I’ve had since then, I’ve gotten used to that

On the Ody, only one side goes down and it depends on what side you have the side view mirror adjustment switch on. Makes it doubly annoying because the feature is there for both to go down they just chose a weird implementation

I do not like it when the driver’s side mirror tilts in reverse. Passenger only please - the Germans seems to get that.

If you have your driving position saved to one of the presets and you haven't adjusted it, you can tilt your mirrors and save to a different preset so you can choose it as you reverse. Selecting your normal preferred preset afterwards will revert the mirrors to their usual position.

Overhead-360-cameras, at least the excellent ones that GM uses with their very clear graphic images, pretty much negate the need for the reverse-tilt-down.

Owning two cars with 360 degree cameras I completely disagree. There is no replacement for being able to physically see the ground and wheels when maneuvering a car in close quarters.

Its comical watching my wife back the Pacifica into the garage, she refuses to use the mirrors and only uses the 360 degree camera) and I get in it and back it right in first try perfectly accurate every time. Why? I use the mirrors. Camera vs mirrors I will take mirrors every time.

There are a few threads on the Rivian subreddit talking about how over-engineered the trucks are and how it's causing an issue for repairs. Early repair estimates for fender benders has been in the 15K-30K range because of how much work it is to tear something down to replace.
