1 of 21 deliveries today Picked up at the Brooklyn service center. As fate would have it the guy that helped me with the pick up was the same one that I did my First Mile drive with and helped me expedite my order! I ended up with a Launch Edition in Forest Green and the all terrain package (20 inch AT wheels, reinforced underbody shield, compact spare, first aid kid). Initial impressions are very positive! Build quality is fantastic (huge concern after spending too much time on the Rivian Forum), truck rides smoothly despite the AT tires, and there are no rattles in the interior. The one problem I did run into was that it pulls to the right. It's a common issue on the Rivian Forums and should be a quick fix, but I hope I don't have to drive back to Brooklyn to get it done.

R1S is currently at my detailer getting PPF so I can overland without worrying about too many scratches. Overall, I'm super impressed with the quality of this truck considering how many vehicles they've made so far.

What was the MSRP of a build like yours? Is it fully loaded? Seems like the quad motor would be the top trim right?

I was locked into the prior pricing so it was $81K and $83.5K OTD because there's no sales tax on EV sales in NJ. If I opted for my original green interior it would been another ~2k or so

But yeah that's everything they have outside of accessories.

Oh and I arrived an hour early for my appointment and they were able to start me early. I got through all the paperwork and stated the vehicle walkthrough in under 10 minutes! Ended up on my way before my original appointment time

That’s not bad at all given the size and features it has. I would take that over a Model X in a heartbeat. I may have to look at one next year especially since it’s $50k under budget. Now I have to go search for the green interior, not sure I could do that interior.

I'd say try to get a test drive. I'm really impressed by the build quality and materials for such a new company. Granted on the Rivian forums there legit complaints about some cars but the newer units seem to have turned a corner. My VIN is 88xx and was finished in April. Current VINs are in the 11xxx's

The pre-increase price is a steal. A similar build now is just under $98K

The green interior has their best wood. It's a really warm brown. The seats themselves don't photograph well but it's a grayish green and looks really nice

Just found this thread. Here’s my R1T that I’ve been enjoying since 11/2022. I’ve now put close to 5000 miles on it and only issue with it was a faulty 12 volt battery that was throwing random error codes that was replaced under warrantee. So far no other issues and it’s been a great truck. Extremely easy to drive, feels and handles like a much smaller vehicle. The amount of power and instant torque is addicting. Coming from a owning a FBO Lexus ISF and a BPU Supra TT, this truck just a fun to drive. Only upgrades I’ve done is PPF, ceramic coating, and replaced the stock wireless phone charger with a better unit that actually functions (the stock one sucks). But anyone considering a Rivian, I think it’s a great vehicle and company.

Yep, I second that! You don't want some crow dropping all over your paint, like they do my cars

I'm more afraid it will disappear in one cloudy morning.
