real world Tesla charging (video)...
thought this was really good. there's apparently some errors in it, like when the charging icon on the car connect point is flashing it actually means it's not connected properly. but still, really good real world use and options on charge rates in particular between a home outlet, generic charger at a brewpub, a super charger station, etc.

something is not right with the charger / connection. with the mobile charge it can go up to 32A and and that should give around 23-25mi/hr. if you use the wall charger with 60A breaker, it will go up to 48A for even more charge range.

My goodness. Not for me, but if you love the idea of Tesla, go for it. And the software makes the best of a challenging situation.
Again, I like the idea of a giant block-ish battery pack that gets swapped out from the bottom in a matter of minutes, but maybe there are fatal flaws with that concept.

If you don’t drive a lot regularly, don’t use 110 at home to charge (ridiculously slow), or have a supercharger nearby, it should be fine.
But i do get to at ‘true believers’ who a) try to make everyone who doesn’t have a tesla into feeling guilty about ‘destroying the planet’ or b) downplay or ignore the challenges of owning an ev for many.
but i will say this, the ev ‘industry’ has done a poor job of playing up the HUGE benefits of owning an ev over time... you’ll likely have VERY little maintenance cost (except for mechanical/electronic things going bad, and tesla definitely has risk there with what is considered generally shoddy qc), no gas costs of course.
ev’s are going to continue to grow in popularity though as the vehicles and infrastructure evolve, and the investment in that right now isn’t probably far from being in the trillions globally!
