Looking good. The S is such a good looking car. The only thing I don’t like are the tailights, they look dated compared to the new ones. You are lucky that you can change yours with aftermarket lights that look similar to the newer ones. My refresh has the old tailights too but no one sells replacements for the early refresh cars.

Thanks Patgilm!

I've debated changing the tail lights but I keep reminding myself that the car is now almost 8 years old and is it really worth doing that?

I think I'd rather fix the "fender to wheel" gap by lowering the car. Which then means I'd have to fix the inevitable insane inner tire wear on the rear tires by having to do yet another mod for the camber..... there are much more reasonable (cost) options for your model to fix the camber, but not for mine.

Looks good, I love silver cars. It says you're in Lake Ontario, I'm in Rochester... I'll look for it lol.

And yeah, Model S has aged well.

Sounds good!👍

Yes, it's design is "timeless" as far as I'm concerned.

That's one thing Tesla could do better their tail light illumination isn't great especially turn signal. Sorry Tesla but German auto makers are far far ahead here.

Model S in silver is my all time favorite. I wish they offered silver standard. I think it was only available for 1 or maybe 2 years.

Thanks! Honestly silver was not my first choice as my previous car (the GS400 was silver).

When buying used, your choices are limited and I didn't have the patience to wait for the dark gray that I wanted.

There's a silver 3 that I see around town and it always stands out vs. the standard black/white ones

Hameed - I know this is your thread but I cleaned my car up yesterday and took a pic because it looked so good. Just another pic to show how good and timeless the design is since it is generally so old now.

I won’t muck up Hameeds thread any more but I’ll post a pick in the general car chat thread.

You're not mucking up my thread !👍 It's one of my favorite 4 door sedan designs. Basically timeless as far as I'm concerned .

Even more with your generation
  • it's lower,
  • front bumper is a lot cleaner,
  • it's wider and
  • the wheels are wider and fit the profile so much better!👍No doubt an influence from the Porsche Taycan.

White looks fantastic!👍

I also consider the Model S to be a classic and timeless design that will still look good in the years to come.
