Tesla to Make Energy Storage Batteries at New Shanghai Plant
Chinese state media revealed on Sunday that Tesla will build a second factory in Shanghai to make its Megapack energy storage batteries.
Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company will start work on the plant in the third quarter with an aim to begin production in the second quarter of 2024, Xinhua said, after a signing ceremony in China’s top commercial hub.
The new factory will complement Tesla’s huge existing Shanghai plant making electric vehicles. It aims to initially produce 10,000 Megapack units a year, equal to around 40 gigawatt hours of energy storage, to be sold around the world, Xinhua said.
With the new Shanghai plant, Tesla will take advantage of China’s world leading battery supply chain to ramp up output and lower costs of its Megapack lithium-ion battery units to meet rising demand of energy storage globally as the world shifts to use more renewable energy.

In its Customer Privacy Notice, Tesla writes that “camera recordings remain anonymous and are not linked to you or your vehicle.”If users consent to data sharing, the privacy notice says, Tesla will use the information to communicate with customers, perform business services and improve its products.

Well, I'm certainly not disagreeing with you....there appears to be at least some grounds for this lawsuit.

If there is a camera it can record, if it is attached to anything with a datalink it can record without warning. That's the rule I use.

First thing I'll be doing is unhooking all the cameras on the car.
Kill the wireless network link.
And do manual updates, in that order.
I'm not laying down and cuck for these tech companies, they are violating basic human rights. IMO

Then I'm going to get into my bunker with food rations.
I'm not driving anywhere either because people or big brother might take pictures or videos of me.

I had Tesla service come to my house this morning to fix 3 minor things on my MYP. They fixed the driver and passenger front seats (plastic base area not staying fully attached) and replaced my spoiler as it was starting to peel a bit. All scheduled through the app, communication and updates delivered through the app... Technician showed up on time and was polite and capable of getting the job done; took about an hour. Amazing to avoid a trip to a dealer or service place.

All safety systems disabled.
Car is now bricked.
Good like finding the offline files.
Or just drive an 80's Toyota and avoid all of it.
Speaking of updates

Tesla is shipping Software Update 2023.12 to select employees today with a variety of new interface improvements and features that are aimed toward customization and ease of access.
Tesla has been making a recent effort to vastly improve both its vehicles and App with new features. In-vehicle updates have included a new version of the Owner’s Manual, a revision to the cabin heat system that improves its functionality, and navigation fixes.
For the app, Tesla improved Supercharger visits by including wait times and rates. Additionally, a small fix in the navigation feature of the App was also included.
Now, a variety of new interface-related features are being shipped as part of 2023.12, which was discovered by TeslaScope.

It's actually a rather complex issue.....that's one reason why I started a thread on it. While are indeed laws (and ethics) on the right to privacy, in the legal codes of all 50 states, driving itself is not a right but a privilege, and one may not always have a 100% right to privacy behind the wheel. As it is, data-recorders in vehicles have been very useful, in court-cases, helping to establish guilt and innocence in accident-investigations, and who is lying and who is telling the truth.
