Does that mean that EV owners should ask for refunds on all the subsidylies to #BIGOIL? 🤔

sounds good unless stated as "over 86% of total new car registrations in europe in q1 were NOT ev's"

We already know that Europe has about a 13 percent EV sales, which is 31 percent higher than a year ago. So the numbers are going up pretty fast. That sounds about what is expected, and pretty good to me

The federal EV tax credit is a non-refundable credit. Anyone getting this particular credit is getting their own tax dollars back, no one else's. Unless you have a federal tax liability in excess of the credit you don't get to utilize it (or all of it). You don't get a refund from the IRS of tax you haven't paid. You get a credit against the tax you did pay. Your tax dollars don't directly pay for anyone else's credit.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that . My daughter who just bought a Bolt (which qualifies for the tax credit) probably won't get it because she doesn't make enough money therefore doesn't have enough tax liability

yeah it's pretty whacked. if you make too much no credit. if you don't make enough no credit.

quick calc says if it continues at 30% growth per year it will be 100% by 2031.

Anything Elon related is considered "Tesla Business" . What did I learn from this short interview? Don't F with Elon, especially if you don't have your talking points straight

From what I remember on the earnings call (or could have been another source) Tesla is making about $25 million per quarter on charging can someone fact check that? Either way it's not nothing they are at least making some money while they build out the network.

I was talking to one of my co workers that has Model 3, and he says he spends roughly about $25 each time he charges at a Tesla charger, which is about once a week. I don't know how much of that is profit because Tesla usually charges the current rate and passes it on. Maybe there is a surcharge in there somewhere
