What's amazing about the Model Y and Model 3 sales numbers is, they are high margin high volume; generally big sellers are low margin...
The Model Y is the #1 vehicle in the world by revenue.

what's also amazing to me is clearly tons of people don't mind the center only screen. that to me is a head scratcher, but there it is. people love tiktok too. crazy world.

I was just talking to a coworker today who just bought one, and his wife was phobic about driving it, but once she drove it, she doesn't want to drive anything else. My wife is the same way, she doesn't like changing vehicles, but my plan is to try and get her to daily drive the Y instead of the Sienna, and we'll use the Y for family car, trips, and my trips to SoCal and we'll use the Sienna only when needed

Tiktok is clearly stupid, useless and annoying. The Tesla center screen on the other hand is actually very useful, well developed software and hardware wise, and does the job really well. I thought it was stupid until I actually used it

Rivian posted decent results, beating revenue expectations (just), narrower loss than expected, reaffirming production targets and reaffirming expected profitability in 2024. Stock up in after hours.

As soon as another automaker actually manages to match the Model Y (or get very close) I suspect you'll hear people pine for a more traditional setup. Right now the Model Y is still the best game in town for the price so its "quirks" are quickly forgiven.

I've always said button and switches are better, but since driving the Polestar and occasionally driving my brother in laws Model 3 which has almost no buttons, I personally don't really care. I can live without buttons, switches and *****

Sounds a little hard to believe, but this was my learning experience. Different? Yes, but actually pretty good. And the simplicity of the clean dash renders our 2 Lexi downright confusing.
The touch screen? I almost never touch it. No need.

EV ftw!!!
Strange at first, for sure. You get used to it. One of my gripes was lack of HUD; our RX spoiles you. But after awhile, you notice the top of the tablet is just off your right hand, kinda in line of sight with the lower windshield. All pertinent inf. is right there.
