I see way more EV6s than Ioniq 5 now.

They're roughly the same sales numbers. 17K EV6's and 18K Ioniq 5's sold YTD. And that 1K difference boils down to the fact that the EV6 was sold a month later than the Ioniq 5.

Both these vehicles are built to a specific amount and the supply still lags well behind demand.

Sales of Ionic 5 have decreased. So you are more likely to see the EV6. Prices have gone up as well

i've seen a few of each (ev6, ioniq5) on the road and i don't like either one. i think they look cheap, gimmicky, trying too hard. and yeah, the back of the ev6 is brutal.

I could say the same about the EQS.

I just find it ironic that you champion the EQS and its siblings which have been universally damned for their looks while going off on two far more aesthetically well-received EV's.

while looks are subjective, they are very elegant cars to look at. Looks more expensive than what they sell for.

Lexus have a thing or 2 to learn from Hyundai and Kia and needs to stop with the boy racer styling.

I prefer the EV6 over the Ioniq5, which reminds me of the original NES system from the 80s.

I believe sales are down due to the fact that they no longer qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit. In California, an additional rebate of $750 (clean fuel reward) ended at about the same time.

The tax credit has little to do with it because both the Ioniq 5 and EV6 were already marked up by dealers, eliminating any worth the tax credit had. It all boils down to limited supply, which is why we have the markups to begin with.

EDIT: Well, this seems to be the root cause. More supply chain disruptions.

Infineon chip flaws to disrupt IONIQ 5 EV production

‘Well, they are down. We shall see if the sales ever increase going forward.. the price where I am was jacked up $4000 in the second model year.

A little N'ring action in an EV6. Pretty awesome yet also absolutely ridiculous.

Lol at the only noise your hear is hit foot slamming on the accelerator and brake (along with the spaceship noises).

Very curious about battery stats and tire tread. Seems like those rear tires are probably ROASTED.

Cool little car. But I'm not exactly sure what KIA is doing here. Nothing really special about the car and it's already looking dated.
