Walmart also puts small businesses out of business and treats their employees like garbage...

It's generally narrow minded and not very smart people that feel their livelihood and way of life is threatened by some new mysterious technology.

I don't think it's so much people being mad at the electric cars, but rather at the people driving them. Often people that drive Priuses and now electric cars fit certain stereotypes that others find annoying. When these stereotypes clash with stereotypes from the opposite side of the spectrum, you end up with all kinds of trolling such as rolling coal or now ICE-ing. It is kind of amusing tbh.

I certainly saw the stereotype with Prius drivers, but there isnt a stereotype with hybrid drivers really anymore. And I see no stereotype with EV drivers, especially Tesla drivers. Of all the Tesla drivers I know, zero of them bought their Teslas with any social agenda in mind.

100% agreed!

When I first drove a Model S about 5 years ago, I was blown away by the smooth, instantaneous, stealth drive and crazy acceleration. That feeling was the overriding emotion I felt and it still feels that way today! I also like the fact that my "fuel" expense dropped to 10%.

It was different when Tesla only had the model S on sale for over 100k, but with the release of the more affordable Model 3 these annoying specimen started to appear.

They now fall into a couple spectrums though. Model 3 Performance owners are really aggressive and run away from everyone at the lights and weave through traffic while the greenies sit in the left lane and set autopilot to 65mph and turn their mind off. Most though drive their cars normal as every other car in California is now a Tesla

I haven't seen that either, and the members here that have Teslas and are Tesla fans dont display any of that behavior at all.

Never seen a Tesla driving crazy....at all.

Now that I think about it I’m a little surprised, with how fast they are. I imagine that kind of juice when you floor it is quite addictive.
