Apparently this is sort of a thing. I hate electric cars but this is rather low.

That said, if I were a paying customer at a place of business and a Tesla spot was the last open parking space, I would take it and not lose any sleep over the matter.
There is a Whole Foods a few miles up the road and there are a few spots for EV charging. I regularly have seen non-EV vehicles park there and never seen any issue. Owning a hybrid, I have seen a few signs around town, particularly at Staples where it says low emissions vehicle parking, but again, anyone parks in them.

On a side note, the charging issue is a big pet peeve of mine with EVs despite some people out in the world thinking we can flick on a switch to change the world. I live in apartment building and not too long ago, someone suggested we put up an EV station so people could charge, but someone raise a counterpoint, who would get the spot? I think charging technology needs to come WAY ALONG before its widespread.
